Indonesian Muslim Universityreaffirms its role as a university that is committed to improving the quality of national higher education by organizingBasic Skills Improvement Training for Instructional Techniques (PEKERTI) Batch XLIX. This activity was officially opened by the Chancellor of UMI on Monday, January 12 2026.
PEKERTI Batch XLIX training was attended by 130 participants came from 64 universitiesfrom various regions in Indonesia. This activity will last forseven daysand implemented properlyonlineby combining synchronous and asynchronous methods, thus enabling participants from various regions to participate in training optimally.
This training is organized byLP2S UMIas an institution that is consistently trusted by the ministry to organize PEKERTI. Until now, UMI has facilitated training formore than 4,000 lecturers from hundreds of universities throughout Indonesia, making UMI one of the leading PEKERTI organizers at the national level.
In his speech, the Chancellor of UMI emphasized that PEKERTI Training is not merely an administrative requirement in the lecturer certification process, but is a strategic vehicle for improving the pedagogical competence and professionalism of lecturers. Through this training, participants are expected to be able to design structured learning, apply innovative learning methods, and carry out learning evaluations appropriately and oriented towards learning outcomes.
Furthermore, the Chancellor of UMI also expressed his appreciation to the LP2S leadership, instructors and implementing committee for their dedication and consistency in maintaining the quality of PEKERTI implementation. According to him, the success of implementing PEKERTI is proof of national trust in UMI in supporting improving the quality of lecturers and learning in higher education.
Meanwhile, the implementing committee said that the PEKERTI training modules used had been adapted to the latest higher education policies, including approachesOutcome Based Education (OBE). Participants will be equipped with learning planning skills through preparing RPS, microteaching practices, and measuring learning outcomes in line with CPL and CPMK.
Through the implementation of PEKERTI Batch XLIX, Indonesian Muslim University hopes to continue to contribute to producing lecturers who are competent, professional and adaptive to the dynamics of higher education policy, as well as strengthening collaborative networks between universities throughout Indonesia.
