
Makassar, umi.ac.id – The Institute for Research and Resource Development (LP2S) of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) is holding Online Zoom Instructional Techniques Training (PEKERTI) Batch XXXVIII which will take place from 07 to 14 October 2024.
This character activity was attended by 121 participants from 68 universities spread across 23 provinces in Indonesia and was opened directly by the Chancellor of UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Talib, SH., MH. witnessed by the Head of LP2S UMI Prof. Dr. H. Baharuddin Semmaila, SE., M.Sc. and his staff.
UMI Chancellor Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Talib, SH., MH. In his speech, he said that character training is very important, especially for young lecturers because the material discusses a lot about pedagogy.
The UMI Criminal Law Professor also explained that a lecturer not only has to be smart but must continue to be able to develop according to the dynamics of curriculum conditions, especially in realizing independent campus learning or MBKM.
"As the host, I represent the Indonesian Muslim University to express my gratitude for the participants' trust and I hope that through this training we can produce lecturers who are professional and superior in designing, implementing and evaluating the lecture process," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of LP2S UMI Prof. Dr. H. Baharuddin Semmaila, SE., M.Sc. said that LP2S UMI continues to be committed to being a professional, superior and trusted Pekerti organizer.
"In 2023, UMI will again be trusted as the organizer of character and AA for 52 universities in Indonesia and has produced 2,807 character training alumni from 527 universities in Indonesia," he explained.
The character training modules produced by UMI are adapted to the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture's character curriculum and have undergone curriculum development by the Innovative Learning Ecosystem Team, he said.
The Professor of FEB UMI also outlined the expected achievements after participating in this Pekerti training, namely being able to plan learning activities well as reflected in the RPS.
Furthermore, they are able to demonstrate learning abilities which are reflected in micro teaching activities. Apart from that, participants were able to measure CPL in the courses they studied, he explained.
"This Pekerti training activity is adapted to current developments in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 and government policies, in this case the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka or MBKM," he concluded.
