The UMI research institute held a research proposal evaluation desk as well as a presentation of research proposals for the 2014 funding year. This was conveyed by the head of the UMI Resource Research and Development Institute (LP2S), Prof. Dr. H. Ma'ruf Hafid, SH., MH on the sidelines of monitoring the presentation of research proposals centered on campus one (17/7).

It was further said that after the evaluation desk which took place on July 9, it was declared that they had passed and fulfilled the 9th edition guidelines, as many as 79 titles were submitted by researchers consisting of permanent UMI lecturers from various scientific fields.

"Of the 79 research proposal titles that passed and fulfilled the requirements of the 9th edition of DP2M DIKTI guidelines, they were presented in a seminar that took place from 17 to 18 July 2013 at LP2S UMI campus 1," said this professor at the Faculty of Law.

The results of the presentation of 79 proposal titles were then sent to DP2M DIKTI and Prof. Ma'ruf hopes that of the 79 titles sent, all can be funded by DIKTI/DEPDIKBUD in the 2014 DIPA DIKTI.

The UMI research institution with an intermediate cluster in the Higher Education Lemlit ranking in the Kopertis 9 region, has shown good performance and is the only intermediate private university ranking in the Eastern region and currently a performance assessment is underway in the mapping of qualified research institutions. For this reason, the former dean of the UMI Faculty of Law hopes that the UMI research institute can rise to a major ranking, God willing.
