To increase international publications, Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) lecturers are provided with training in using the Mendeley application. This event was initiated by the UMI Resource Research and Development Institute (LP2S UMI) in the LP2S hall, Friday, September 7 2018.
Head of LP2S Prof. Dr. H. Syahnur Said, M.S in his speech said that this training was carried out considering the importance of publishing international scale articles indexed by Scopus in improving the performance of higher education institutions.
"For batch 1 we will limit participants to the Mendeley application training at 60 participants. It is hoped that after this training, the Mendeley application can be directly applied in your article writing in the future," said Prof. Syahnur.
Muammar Fawwaz, training presenter, said that Mendeley is an application program that has the ability to act as a library in processing scientific databases in the form of e-journals, e-books and other references. Apart from that, its function is also to process bibliography in the preparation of scientific articles.
"Mendeley is also used to add references, bibliography or bibliography in Microsoft Office Word," he said.
