Makassar.umi.ac.id. The Institute for Research and Development of Resources (LP2S) at the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) held a Seminar on Internal Research Results, a Faculty Leading Research (PUF) scheme funded by the UMI Waqf Foundation for the 2024 fiscal year. This seminar took place on January 16 2025 for one day and was held online.

The seminar activity began with equalizing reviewers' perceptions which was opened directly by the Chair of LP2S UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Baharuddin Semmaila, SE., M.Si., and material on equalizing reviewers' perceptions was delivered by the Secretary of LP2S, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. A. Aladin, MT., accompanied by Head of UMI LP2S Research Center Dr. Ir. Scientific kuriseng.
In his speech, Prof. Baharuddin explained that UMI lecturers' research consists of research with external funding sources, especially from DRTPM DIKTI with various schemes this year around 3.6 billion rupiah and internal UMI funding sources, both the Beginner Lecturer Research Scheme (PDP) and PUF with total funds reaching 3 billion rupiah. "This seminar activity is part of the SOP to guarantee the quality of lecturers' research within the Indonesian Muslim University. The main aim is to improve the quality of research results, especially related to mandatory research outputs and journal publications," said Prof. Baharuddin.
The chairman of LP2S also emphasized the reviewers to provide constructive direction in improving the quality of research and mandatory outputs. Apart from that, he motivated UMI researchers to be more active in competing in national research grants managed by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and other funding sources.
Meanwhile, the resource person in equating reviewer perceptions, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Aladin, MS, expressed the importance of reviewers understanding their duties in depth. As UMI's internal reviewers, they are expected to be able to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the progress and achievements of reported research, with a focus on the mandatory output targets that must be met.
Previously, LP2S UMI had held a seminar on the results of research on the PDP scheme at the end of December 2024, and had also carried out Internal Minev for researchers who were involved in DRTPM DIKTI around November 2024.
In general, UMI lecturers' research is increasing in strength and quality, as indicated by the increasing number of research results, especially reputable international journals and intellectual property, especially patents and copyrights. Nationally, the performance of UMI lecturers' research activities was also assessed as very good by the DRTPM / Ministry of Education and Culture, DIKTI, marking UMI as having once again received the PRINCIPLE of the UTAMA cluster in the field of research.
