Starting the activity program in the new year 2024, the Institute for Research and Resource Development (LP2S) of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) Makassar held the 13th batch of Applied Approach (AA) training. This AA training activity was opened this morning, 15 January 2024, by the Chancellor of UMI, Mr. Prof. Dr.
In his speech at the opening of the AA training, the Chancellor of UMI provided support and encouragement, both to the committee/LP2S and to the participants. This AA training is so important for every lecturer in carrying out their professional duties as a lecturer, so participants are asked to be able to enthusiastically follow all the material that has been prepared by the organizers. That is the motivation conveyed by the Chancellor, Prof Dr H Sufirman Rahman SH MH to all participants.
For your information, since the circular letter from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology No. 6766/E4/DT.04.01/2023 was issued, LP2S UMI Makassar was one of the 70 PTs which was once again declared to have the trust of the government to provide PEKERTI and AA training for PTN/PTS lecturers throughout Indonesia, according to the explanation from the head of LP2S UMI, Prof. Dr. Baharuddin Semmaila.
Added by the Secretary of LP2S UMI Prof. Dr. Ir. Andi Aladin, MT., that this 13th AA training, like previous trainings, used resource persons and certified facilitators who had taken part in the TOT Character and AA training.
AA Training modules are adapted to the Ministry of Education and Culture-Ristek's AA training curriculum, which is being developed by the Innovative Learning Ecosystem Curriculum Team
The expected achievements after the participants take part in this training are at least 3 things, namely:
(1) Able to reflect on the implementation of learning
(2) Able to make improvements and refinements to the planning, implementation and assessment of the learning process carried out
(3) Able to compile and/or perfect textbook materials/books based on the results of reflection on the learning process
These three outcomes are requirements that must be met by lecturers when carrying out the learning process.
The need for these three outcomes is in accordance with learning in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 as well as the policy direction of the Ministry of Education and Culture to realize an Independent Campus and Independent Learning.
