Makassar, January 15 2026— Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2S)Indonesian Muslim University(UMI) carried out an evaluation of internal lecturers' research results for the 2025 Fiscal Year through a Results Seminar held on January 15 2026. This activity evaluated around 300 research titles that had been assessed by UMI's internal reviewers. The internal lecturer research includes two schemes, namely Beginner Lecturer Research (PDP) and Leading Faculty Research (PUF) with a total of almost 300 titles. Results seminars are an important forum for assessing the achievement of output targets as stated in research proposals and contracts. The research output is the researcher's commitment and is the basis for the reviewer's assessment. LP2S UMI emphasized that output in the form of reputable journal articles or providing materials was still tolerated in submitted or accepted status at the time of the results seminar, with the obligation to be realized in the form of publication no later than one year. These provisions are regulated in research guidelines and contracts. Researchers who do not fulfill their output obligations by the one year extension deadline are not permitted to submit research proposals, either as chair or member, until these outputs are fulfilled. On this occasion, LP2S UMI also presented new policies regarding research reporting. Starting this year, research reports will no longer be submitted in physical form (print out), but entirely in soft file form via the FIKIR application. Researchers are required to complete the report using the latest template that combines the proposal and research report, complete all attachments, and follow up on the reviewer's suggestions as evidenced by an approval sheet.
The deadline for completing research reports in the FIKIR system is January 23 2026 at 12.00 WITA. Researchers who have fulfilled all the requirements have the right to apply for disbursement of the remaining 30% of research funds starting January 20 2026 at LP2S UMI according to working hours. UMI through LP2S UMI emphasizes its commitment to supporting the implementation of research darma as part of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Apart from assisting lecturers in competitive research funded by external sources such as the Ministry of Education and Technology, BRIN, and local governments, UMI also provides internal funding for lecturers who have not received external funding, as a form of strengthening research culture and improving lecturers' research performance.
