Educational activities on the prevention and violations of IP in Higher Education were held on May 16 2024 at Mahoni 1 Claro hotel. Actively organized by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, South Sulawesi Regional Office. This activity is a series of action plans from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number: M.HH-01.OT.01.01 of 2023. The activity was attended by the Chair of the IPR Center and the Chair of the BEM in South Sulawesi. The UMI IPR Center was represented by Dr. Nurmiati Muchlis, SKM., M.Kes while BEM UMI was represented by Adrian, President of BEM FK UMI. Present as resource persons were academics represented by Prof. Achmadi Muri. Head of the Legal and Human Rights Services Division by Pak Hernadi, SH., MH., regarding the role of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in preventing IP violations in the region. Meanwhile, the South Sulawesi POLDA was represented by Mr AKP. H. Syamsul Rijal, and filled with material in the second session about intellectual property by Johan, SH. The aim of the activity is to provide understanding to the academic community, especially students and lecturers and IP center managers in preventing IP violations in the tertiary environment.
