
UMI's Resource Research and Development Institute (LP2S) held Applied Approach (AA) Class IX training online via zoom, Monday to Thursday (13 to 16 July 2020).
This Applied Approach (AA) training was held online for the first time and introduced a virtual class built by UMI.
UMI Chancellor Prof. Dr. H. Basri Modding, S.E, M.Si at the opening thanked LP2S, especially the Chair, Prof. Dr. H. Syahnur Said, SE., M.Sc., even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, LP2S remains active in developing UMI.
"Lecturers as educational staff, as well as professional staff, are tasked with designing planning, implementing processes, assessing learning outcomes, mentoring and training, as well as conducting research," he explained.
Apart from that, it is also said that lecturers have additional duties and community service. For this reason, in increasing the professionalism of lecturers, they must continue to develop mastery of competence in carrying out their duties and activities.
“Lecturers must be able to have a positive impact on universities and change their instructional approachesteaching universitybelearning university," said the Professor at the UMI Faculty of Economics and Business.
AA training is very important for the development of lecturers' skills, encouraging participants to become competent, according to developmental demands.
Head of LP2S UMI Prof. Dr. H. Syahnur Said, SE., M.Sc., in his report said, LP2S continues to carry out activities on the agenda despite the Covid 19 pandemic.
"Thank God, our work program is still running, even though it is limited by the current conditions. For example, the implementation of the Internal Research Scheme Proposal Seminar was carried out virtually, which was attended by 162 research lecturers and lasted 9 days. This refers to the UMI Chancellor's policy regardingpsychological distancingandwork from homewe still run it by utilizing online applications. "Starting from seminars to signing research agreements," he explained.
"This was done to form a Technology Minded culture for all UMI lecturers," concluded UMI Deputy Chancellor 1 for the 2010-2018 period.
