The Institute for Research & Development of Resources (LP2S) of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) held Training on Patterns of Fostering and Development of Ukhuwah (P3U) for permanent lecturers at the UMI Waqf Foundation in the LP2S meeting room, UMI Tower, 3rd Floor, on Monday-Wednesday, 22-24 July 2019.
This training was opened directly by the Chancellor of UMI Prof Dr H Basri Modding, SE, M.Si, accompanied by the Chair of LP2S UMI Prof Dr H Syahnur Said, SE, M.Si.
UMI Chancellor Prof Dr H Basri Modding SE, M.Si said, this training was very useful in developing brotherhood for UMI lecturers. This is because ukhuwan is something that is very mandatory for us to maintain friendship and maintaining ukhuwah and friendship is part of serving with the heart.
"We must be able to present Allah in all our work and if we are able to serve because of Allah, God willing, we will receive blessings. Because work is our worship," he explained.
Meanwhile, Chairman of LP2S UMI, Prof. Dr. This activity was attended by 45 permanent lecturers from the UMI Waqf Foundation who came from faculties within UMI.
"This training is one of the prerequisites for occupying a certain position," he said.
This P3U training lasts for 3 days. The materials in this training include; Serving with heart by UMI Chancellor Prof Dr H Basri Modding SE MSi, time management by Prof Dr H Syahnur Said SE MSi, leadership in Islam by Prof Dr Nasir Hamzah SE MSi, conflict management by Prof Dr La Ode Husain SH MH, working in a TEAM by Dr ir H A Dirgahayu Lantara MT IPU, developing motivation by Dr Fanda Aryani MPd, positive and effective communication by Dr Ir H Amir Tjoneng MS, self-control by Dr H M Arfah Shiddiq MA, Ethics and morals by Prof Dr Hj Masrurah Mokhtar MA, UMI commitment by Prof Dr H Mansyur Ramly, MSi and group dynamics presented by Prof Dr H Arismunandar MPd.
