Makassar, umi.ac.id – The Institute for Research and Resource Development (LP2S) of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) is again holding Applied Approach (AA) Training via online Zoom Meeting, which will take place from 27 to 31 October 2025.

The AA training class XV was attended by 102 participants from 24 universities spread across 15 provinces in Indonesia and was opened directly by the Chancellor of UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Talib, SH., MH.

Also present was the Chairman of LP2S UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Baharuddin Semmaila, SE., M.Si., Secretary of LP2S, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Andi Aladin, M.T., Heads of Centers, LP2S UMI educational staff and resource persons.

UMI Chancellor Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Talib, SH., MH. In his speech he invited all participants to continue to fill themselves with knowledge, especially in supporting their duties as educators.

"Sir/madam, as an educator, continues to fill yourself with knowledge, especially in responding to the challenges of the dynamics of curriculum development. Therefore, it is hoped that through this Pekerti and AA training, you can prepare the teaching and learning process well," he explained.

"We, the university leadership, would like to thank the UMI Resource Research and Development Institute for carrying out this mandate well, professionally and with excellence," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of LP2S UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Baharuddin Semmaila, SE., M.Sc. would like to thank the 102 participants for their trust in choosing UMI as the place to take part in AA training for class XV.

"UMI continues to be committed to providing superior, professional and reliable Applied Approach (AA) training and Basic Skills Improvement Training in Instructional Techniques (Pekerti)," he stressed.

This professor at the UMI Faculty of Economics & Business explained that the Applied Approach training is a continuation of the Character Training which is a requirement for lecturers to obtain professional recognition and certification.

"The expected achievements after the participants take part in this training are being able to reflect on the implementation of learning, being able to make improvements and improvements to the plan, implementation and assessment of the learning process carried out, and being able to prepare or perfect materials/textbooks based on the results of reflection on the learning process," he continued.

"The training modules are adapted to the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Technology's curriculum which has been developed by the Innovative Learning Ecosystem Curriculum Team which is TOT Pekerti and AA certified," he concluded.
