In the Middle of the Ramadan Holiday, LP2S UMI Struggles to Face the National Evaluation of PEKERTI and AA
Makassar, 16 March 2026 — Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of higher education through active participation in Evaluation activities for Higher Education Institutions Organizing Basic Skills Improvement Programs in Instructional Techniques (Pekerti) and Applied Approach (AA) organized by the Directorate of Resources, Directorate General of Higher Education, Science and Technology.
The invitation for the evaluation was contained in the official letter from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology Number 606/DST/B4/DT.04.01/2026 dated March 11 2026. However, a new letter was received by UMI on March 15 2026, in the middle of the academic holiday period and the increasingly intense atmosphere of Ramadan worship approaching the nights of searching for Lailatul Qadri. The very limited time condition is a challenge in itself, because the organizing universities are asked to prepare and upload various evaluation documents no later than today, March 16 2026 at 13.00 WIB. However, enthusiasm and a high sense of responsibility encouraged the ranks of the UMI Learning and Resource Development Institute (LP2S) to return to the office to complete all the requested requirements. Chair, secretary, center heads, and intensive LP2S support team
coordinate and work together to prepare documents in a short time. All files were finally successfully completed and submitted according to the specified time limit, precisely 12.00 WIT.
The very dramatic evaluation activity itself will take place tomorrow Tuesday, March 17 2026 at 13.00 WIB online via Zoom Meeting. The presentation will be delivered by the Head of the P3AI LP2S UMI Center for the 2022–2026 period, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nureny, accompanied by the Chair and Secretary of LP2S as well as other center heads who act as representatives of instructors/resources, facilitators and program implementation committee.
Through this evaluation, it is hoped that it will further strengthen the confidence of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology that LP2S UMI has succeeded in implementing the Pekerti and AA programs in a quality and professional manner, so that it is worthy of continuing to be trusted as one of the universities providing lecturer pedagogical competency development programs in Indonesia in the future, amen, Rabbi.
