Community-based EmpowerMe Innovative Coping Strategies with Digital Platform support for transforming the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV)

The HIV/AIDS pandemic has become a specific concern for global health to date, not only with the increase in case findings but also with the psychosocial impact that has a major impact on the quality of life of PLHIV. Likewise, in Bulukumba district, which is in 4th place, it is in the top 10 highest cases of HIV cases found in the district/city of South Sulawesi.
The urgency of this research is the high number of LTFU cases and avoidance of face-to-face treatment by HIV sufferers in Bulukumba Regency due to stigma and discrimination as well as social isolation experienced by PLHIV, thereby reducing adhesion to treatment. This worsens HIV symptoms and the quality of life of PLHIV and makes it difficult to track cases and even ends in death. So, intervention is needed in the form of the innovative coping strategies model EmpowerMe which is an integrated and easily accessible application for PLHIV to be empowered, carry out scheduled treatment and consultations and get health promotion and community support even without face-to-face contact.
The aim of the research is to provide a community-based innovative EmpowerMe coping strategies model with the support of a digital platform to transform the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) and support the achievement of the fourth Asta Cita point program towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.
The research method uses a mixed method with a sequential exploratory design which involves data collection, analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data. The first qualitative stage was to explore the social support and self-coping carried out by PLHIV since being diagnosed HIV positive which became the basis for the model design; The next stage uses quantitative to test the EmpowerMe model which has been designed and tested using white box testing and black box testing.
The targeted output is a model that will be registered in the form of copyright and the availability of a feasibility study that has been analyzed and tested. This research proposal with the final Technology Readiness Level (TKT 5)
