UMI Makassar – The Institute for Research and Development of Resources (LP2S) at the Indonesian Muslim University should be proud, DP2M Dikti has again appointed (LP2S) as the external Monev Host for lecturers receiving research grants from PTN/PTS throughout Sulawesi, this was conveyed by Desmelita, Head of Sub-Directorate for Applied Research DP2M Dikti when opening the event in front of the research lecturers who will be externally monitoring the results of the 2016-2017 research, in the UMI LP2S Hall, UMI Tower lt. 3 (26/10).
Present was the Deputy Chancellor I of UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Syahnur Said, MS., Chair of LP2S UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Talib SH., MH., Head of LP2S Research Center Dr Ir. Hj Nuraeni Lambang Basri, MP., external reviewer Prof. Dr. Mudassri (UGM) and prof.Dr. Ir Syamsuddin (Unhas).
Desmelita added that the appointment of UMI as host was an honor because not all PTNs or PTSs were given the opportunity and of course PTNs or PTSs were also competing to gain that trust, several PTNs and PTSs also asked to be hosts, but the policy of the Director of DP2M Dikti was handed over to LP2S UMI as Host for 2016.
He continued, the Research Program is one of the main programs of the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DP2M) of the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) which is intended to improve the quality of research and scientific publications by Indonesian academics.
"To guarantee the quality of research in higher education, DP2M Dikti must ensure that the research programs accepted by lecturers have been carried out in accordance with the provisions set by prioritizing quality elements," he said.
Furthermore, the results of this monitoring and evaluation will also be used as consideration for continuing or stopping the implementation of multi-year research based on the evaluation results.
Meanwhile, Chairman of LP2S UMI, Prof.Dr. H Hambali Talib, SH., MH who was accompanied by the Head of LP2S Research Center Dr Ir. Hj Nuraeni Lambang Basri, MP said that he appreciated and thanked the trust given to LP2S UMI as the external monev host. We know that several PTNs or PTSs really hope to become hosts and Alhamdulillah, UMI has once again won the trust for that. External monitoring and evaluation activities will be carried out from 27 to 29 November 2016 at LP2S UMI and will be attended by a number of PTN PTS delegation researchers throughout Sulawesi with research schemes except doctoral dissertations.
