Makassar, umi.ac.id – The Institute for Research and Resource Development (LP2S) of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) is holding Online Zoom Instructional Techniques Training (PEKERTI) Batch XLI which will take place from 09 to 16 April 2025.
The 41st class of character training was attended by 90 participants and was opened directly by the Chancellor of UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Talib, SH., MH. witnessed by the Head of LP2S UMI Prof. Dr. H. Baharuddin Semmaila, SE., M.Sc. and Secretary of LP2S UMI Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Andi Aladin, MT. along with the leadership and staff of LP2S UMI.
UMI Chancellor Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Talib, SH., MH. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude because LP2S UMI continues to gain trust as a Pekerti and AA training provider.
"Thank God, LP2S UMI continues to gain trust as a place for character and AA training by lecturers from various universities, both private universities and state universities. This shows the professionalism of LP2S UMI in carrying out the mandate given by the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education," he said.
The UMI Law Faculty professor also explained that the UMI LP2S is evaluated every 2 years by the government. A mandatory requirement as a provider of character and AA training is that universities must be accredited as superior institutions supported by infrastructure and human resources.
"Lecturers as educational staff must be able to understand the teaching and learning process with pedagogical competence, which is expected by lecturers to be an inspiration in transferring knowledge, which is one of the duties of lecturers in the tridharma of higher education," he said.
"We would like to thank the participants who still choose UMI as a place to take part in character training and thank the UMI LP2S staff and the instructors who prepared this training well," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of LP2S UMI Prof. Dr. H. Baharuddin Semmaila, SE., M.Sc. thanked the participants for their trust in choosing UMI as a place to conduct Pekerti training.
"UMI continues to be committed to being a professional, superior and trusted Pekerti and AA organizer. The UMI Pekerti training has been attended by 3210 participants from 591 universities in Indonesia," said the Professor at the Faculty of Economics & Business.
The character training module produced by LP2S UMI is adapted to the character curriculum of the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Technology and has undergone curriculum development by the UMI Innovative Learning Ecosystem Team, he concluded.
