UMI Makassar – To improve the quality and quantity of research for lecturers within the scope of the Indonesian Muslim University, the UMI Human Resources Research and Development Institute (LP2S) carried out socialization and research proposal clinics [for higher education funding which took place in the UMI LP2 S office hall, UMI tower 3rd floor (9/3), this was conveyed by the Chair of UMI LP2S, Prof.Dr. H Hambali Talib, SH., MH who was accompanied by the Head of the UMI LP2s Research Center, Dr.Ir. Nuraeni Lambang Basri, MS.

Hambali Talib added that LP2S UMI currently has a top ranking from the Ministry of Research and Technology. Apart from funds from Dikti, the University leadership also prepared a budget for beginner research and internal research. Thank God, for 2016, UMI prepared costs for 108 beginner lecturer research proposals and approximately 450 internal research proposals from lecturers from each study program supervised by UMI.

Meanwhile, Nuraeni Lambang reported that this socialization and proposal clinic responded to the very high interest of UMI lecturers in researching, but along the way they often encountered obstacles, therefore it was hoped that this socialization would further stimulate motivation and identify the problems experienced when preparing research papers submitted to obtain funding from the Higher Education.

"This one-day activity was attended by 50 participants, especially lecturers who are currently submitting research proposals for Higher Education funding in 2017," said the UMI agriculture lecturer.
